Course Description
This physician-created online course is a Masterclass for Advanced Dermal Needling, suitable for all skin care professionals. It is combined with “The Concise Guide to Dermal Needling, Third Medical Edition – Revised & Expanded” (sold separately) and offers up-to-date instruction on the science and practice of dermal needling that has evolved since the publication of Dr. Setterfield’s first edition in 2010.
Typically, many courses today (created by device companies) omit the most important aspect: “How do I treat the condition?” (Needling is not the entire treatment, only a component thereof.) Herein lies the difference with this course. Furthermore, you are not treating a condition in isolation, but rather a patient and all the unique needs and conditions they bring to the consultation.
With nine modules of learning, the emphasis is neither “product” nor “device” driven, but rather “patient-focused”. With many feeling vulnerable, this generic approach empowers clinicians to think independently so as not to be swayed by industry spin. Those of you who have already had training and still feel confused, this course will answer many of the questions that remain unanswered:
- Which patient can be treated? Which should not? Why?
- Which skin conditions can be treated by microneedling, and, more importantly, HOW?
- Which product ingredients should be included and why?
- Which ingredients should I avoid?
- What are the complications?
- What is my scope of practice?
Course requires approximately 8 hours to complete.
Benefits:
- Fifteen years of clinical experience & exhaustive research condensed into an 8+ hour course. (Saves time and money as you don’t have to do research yourself.)
- Complex concepts distilled & simplified for better understanding and memory retention.
- Training on how to treat each individual patient in order to get a result (as opposed to simply switching on and using a device).
- Generic (non-product-aligned) instruction across many aspects of skin care (not just about microneedling).
- 60 days of access allowing review of the course as many times as needed to reinforce your knowledge.
- Work at your own pace in the comfort of your home or office.
- Certificate given upon successful completion of exam questions.
